SEE-Beyond FAQs
Yes, SEE-Beyond awards can be used to cover tuition or participation fees. However, it is not the intent of SEE-Beyond awards to fund coursework at another institution unless the course is of special relevance to your academic plan.
Students may choose to use their award to pay summer tuition at Skidmore, but note that credit-bearing internships and independent studies require faculty sponsorship.
Yes. You may receive a salary or stipend of up to $2,000.
To be eligible for a SEE-Beyond, the experience must be at a minimum 5-weeks (or 200 hours). You may put together more than one experience, but the experiences should all be relevant to the department to which you are applying. You may only apply for ONE SEE-Beyond.
All class years are eligible to apply for a SEE-Beyond.
That being said, departments and programs decide on the criteria for the candidates they put forward. We recommend you talk to your department or program.
